Diana Savostaite is a contemporary painter based in London. Her artistic practice has developed through a process of exploration and experimentation with diverse mediums, textures, and unconventional canvas shapes. Specialising in oil paint and mixed media, she primarily works on large, shaped canvases that she meticulously constructs in her studio.
Savostaite's unique approach involves connecting various shaped canvases to create dynamic compositions that disrupt and interact with the surrounding space. Recently, she has begun incorporating such materials as rust, copper, wood, marble dust, or even embroidery collages into her works, weaving in elements of her Lithuanian heritage into her paintings, adding layers of cultural and personal narrative.
